“Creativity doesn’t wait for that perfect moment. It fashions its own perfect moments out of ordinary ones.” Bruce Garrabrandt
And I guess that's what I try and do, to be creative in the moment with whatever thoughts are occupying my mind, all with one very clear objective - to add value to someone, somewhere.
To that end, I am a serial vlogger, they are unscripted, untimed and therefore completely imperfect by the standards of marketeers, editors and social media guru's, well I do hope so.
I do not share vlogs to work the algorithms or to become famous, I just share raw and often intimate truths, to try and help us all to reclaim the ability to be perfectly imperfect and human and honest and therefore unashamed of our stories.
Because sharing our truth, our vulnerability, our real struggles with life, is how we can connect with one another, in a deep and sustainable way and that's important because I truly believe that aside from food and water, human connection is pretty critical for our survival and growth.
And somewhat to my surprise, there have been a few people along the way, who have read or heard something that I have shared and asked me to do an interview - on radio or podcasts and I have of course, been delighted and hugely honoured to do them and the links to those conversations are also on this page.
The range of subjects are really quite diverse - our mental health, the menopause, careers, transformation, grief, dying, life lessons, parenting to name but a few, all shared in the hope that the people who need to hear them will.
I do hope they can be of help to someone, somewhere, today.
A rich conversation with Sally Garrozzo on all aspects on the menopause and how we need to support it far better than we do today
A wonderfully diverse and rich discussion about life with Katie Humphrey from the Thoughtful Coach
An open and honest discussion on transformation and what it means at an organisational and personal level and how we need to embrace our human messiness to truly embrace transformation.
A heartfelt discussion on the menopause, life and embracing all that we are.
103 The Eye is the award-winning community radio station. I was delighted to be interviewed by Ling Pang. We discussed PND, the menopause, depression, truth, being vulnerable, our need for genuine connection and this mad thing called life. Enjoy x
I am sincerely hoping this is of help to others - a podcast I recorded with the delightful Kevin Guthrie, as part of radio Newark’s mental health and well being series.
I’m a sharer - I share all of my experiences, good and bad. I share because not sharing hurts me and it hurts others. It feeds a false reality, where people are hoodwinked into living up to a set of standards, that simply do not exist. I share because I don’t want anyone else to feel alone, isolated and broken.
I guess in a nutshell, nikdavis.com is about helping organisations and people, to redefine what makes us all a true success, to live more authentic, purposeful and truthful lives, to be whole and to be able to lead from the heart with vulnerability, empathy and trust.
